Joanna Hodges

Manager - Jo Hodges is a holistic health and lifestyle coach, author, motivational speaker and business owner. Jo is, also, a professional commercial photographer, but, after 19 years in the business, has slowly gravitated away from photography and delved into the health and wellness industry. Jo’s holistic health journey has lead her into studying integrative nutrition, writing her autobiography, which reached #3 in Australia, motivational speaking, and now creating The Nourish Nook. During a visit to Gwinganna Health Retreat in 2009, Jo fell in love with the holistic approach to overall health and wellbeing. It was after this trip that a seed was planted – to create a boutique holistic health space, incorporating movement, nutrition, mindset, lifestyle, community, education and above all, happiness! Jo is passionate about creating a strong community at The Nourish Nook and looks forward to welcoming many faces through the doors.

Tarsh McCallum

Resident Physiotherapist/Rehabilitation expert/Dry Needling/Acupuncturist - Tarsh McCallum is a qualified Physiotherapist and Personal Trainer. Spending most of her childhood playing sports and growing up in an active family, it was a very natural pull towards a career involving the human body and movement. After completing high school and accepting offer to study a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at UniSA, Tarsh enjoyed a gap year were she undertook her certificate three and four in fitness. ‘This was one of the best steps I could have taken as the two fields compliment each other perfectly. It also gave me a head start on my degree’. On completion of her studies, Tarsh was awarded the Elma Casley Award for her high standard of both Clinical and Human Relationship Skills, which cemented for her that physiotherapy was where she was meant to be. Tarsh has continued to expand her knowledge base since graduating, undertaking a Dry Needling and Westernised Acupuncture course allowing her to perform these treatments to a number of musculoskeletal conditions. She has also completed her Physiotherapy Sports Level 1 & 2 courses, both providing her with an enormous amount of knowledge in this area. During her first few years of working, the gap between treating clients in clinic and returning them to their normal movement environment became more evident and this is where the idea of intertwining the two began. Tarsh thrives on working closely with clients to gain a holistic view of each individual’s story and that is exactly her aim in creating Soul Physiotherapy & Movement: encouraging better movement, real performance and good energy.
